BFS IOA American meeting 2011

Date:    September 28-30, 2011
Venue:  Charleston (SC) + Columbia (SC), USA

BFS IOA American meeting 2011 is planned to be in beautiful and historic Charleston (SC) and will include a unique visit to The Ritedose Corporation facility in Columbia (SC). The event program will be as follows:

• September 27: 7.00pm welcome reception at hotel
• September 28: 9.00am - 5.00pm meeting conference hotel followed by dinner
• September 29: 9.00am - 2.00pm meeting and lunch at conference hotel.
  For volunteers that wish to join the tour at The Ritedose high output BFS facility in Columbia there will be organized transfer by bus (approx 2h) from Charleston to Columbia.
  Light casual dinner will be offered after arrival to hotel in Columbia.
• September 30: 9.00am - 12.00pm: tour at The Ritedose BFS facility.
  After tour, there will be bus transfer back to hotel in Columbia (arriving hotel at 12.00-12-30pm) from where participants can depart for home.

• Combined Particle and Leak Detection For a Final Quality Approach
• Extruder validation
• Case study: extruder validation study polymer extruded at different temperatures - a follow up to earlier published data.
• Interventions - different company approach
• Leachable and extractables from polymers and packaging materials
• Resin manufacture control of resin bioburdan and leachable and extractables
• ISPE new base line guide for design of BFS plants
• BFS plant validation
• Regulatory update
• Update on PDA Interest Group for BFS
